What Outglide keeps on your device, what its services receive, and the choices you have.

Plans on your devices

Trips, Arrival Plans, Travel Notes and selected photos are stored on your iPhone. Travel Vault encrypts the saved passport record and requires device authentication to unlock it. Outglide does not send the passport record with flight searches or automatically include it in Ask O.

Saved flight details can be sent to your paired Apple Watch. Notes, photos and passport details are excluded from that transfer. Device backups and copies you export are managed separately through the device or service you use.

Location, maps and weather

If you choose to add your current location to a Travel Note, Outglide requests location permission and stores the returned coordinate with that note. You can enter a place manually instead. Outglide does not continuously track your location in the background.

Destination weather uses Apple WeatherKit with an airport coordinate. Outglide may look up the airport through Apple Maps if its coordinate is unavailable. These destination lookups do not require your current device location.

Your account

Sign in with Apple creates an Outglide account. The hosted service stores a transformed Apple identifier, an Outglide account identifier, encrypted Apple authorisation information and expiring session records. These support sign-in, account access and deletion. Purchases and Trip Pass coverage are linked to the Outglide account used for the purchase.

Flight information and notifications

For a flight-information request, Outglide sends the required flight number, date, airport code or provider flight identifier to FlightAware. Responses may be cached to limit repeated requests.

When background alerts are enabled and you choose to use them, the service stores the selected flight identifiers, coverage, notification preferences and an encrypted Apple push token. These let it check covered flights and send alerts through Apple. Push payloads use a generic change message instead of itinerary details.

Ask O

Your current Ask O conversation, draft and sharing choice are saved securely on this iPhone so you can close and reopen Ask O without losing them. End chat or signing out clears the saved chat. Changing the selected trip or Travel Notes choice asks before starting a new conversation. Ending a local chat does not delete information already processed or retained by the AI service providers.

After you allow sharing, your question, recent conversation and selected booking, itinerary and Arrival Plan details pass through Outglide’s service to Make’s AI service. The currently configured Medium model uses OpenAI through Make. Travel Notes are optional. Photos, passport records and precise device coordinates are excluded from automatic sharing. Anything you type in a question is included in that question.

Outglide’s account database stores usage records and limits rather than the text of your questions and replies. Its Make scenario uses the Keep data confidential setting. The agent starts each request without a persistent conversation ID and with no stored conversation history selected. Those settings do not remove every form of processing or retention by Make and its model provider.

Make and its underlying AI provider apply their own processing and retention policies. Outglide does not promise zero retention. More information: Make AI Agents, Make’s model providers, and OpenAI API data controls. Avoid including sensitive information you do not want these services to process.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments. Outglide verifies transaction information, including the product, transaction identifier, purchase date, expiry or refund status and Outglide account token. This provides and restores paid access. Outglide does not receive your payment-card number for these purchases. Test transactions are separated from production transactions.

Retention and deletion

Local data stays until you remove it using the app’s controls or otherwise remove its device storage. Remove flights or Travel Notes from their respective screens. Travel Vault has a Remove passport and encryption key action.

To delete your hosted account, open the account control in Ask O and choose Delete AI account. This revokes Apple authorisation, removes account and session records, and removes associated monitoring registrations and Trip Pass flight assignments. Purchase and usage records are detached from the account and retained for transaction integrity and spending controls. Older usage records are cleared during subsequent requests after approximately one month.

Deleting your hosted account does not erase local trip files, cancel Apple subscriptions or automatically erase independent records kept by Apple, Make or their service providers. Signing out revokes the current Outglide session and removes its notification registrations. For help accessing, correcting or deleting information processed through the service, email outglidetravel@gmail.com. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

Service providers

Outglide uses Apple for sign-in, purchases, notifications and supported device, map and weather features; Render for hosting; FlightAware for flight data; and Make with OpenAI for Ask O. If you email support, Google’s Gmail service processes that correspondence. Providers may process information in countries outside your own. Their handling depends on the service and settings used.

Technical request metadata may also be processed by the hosting and network services to deliver requests and operate the service. This page will be updated when the app’s data handling changes.
